Oil and gas service company, Patton Myhre Sourcing and Supply, received Houston’s longest, 20-ton, overhead crane on August 22, 2014. Measuring 140 feet long, the crane was installed in their new 43, 390 square foot valve warehouse in Tomball.
South Texas Regional Manager for OMi Crane Systems, Kevin Picklo, said, “this crane is the longest that we have ever shipped to the Houston-area.” The transportation of the structure may cause quite a spectacle traveling along Tomball’s two-lane Boudreaux Rd. General contractor and TNRG’s construction team, BNC Construction, had to make countless alterations to site plans to accommodate the delivery of the massive crane. The modern warehouse – large enough for an 18-wheeler to drive in an turn around – and crane will allow Patton Myhre Sourcing and Supply to offer a wider range of valves. Daniel Patton said, ” before, our inventory was limited in size because our two, 40 foot long, 10-ton cranes could only lift smaller valves. Now, we have the ability to stock and lift larger valves to better serve our clients.”
